  Is this a normal JW practice? Warning, this will be a bit graphic.

  this post may be disturbing and i apologize, but i'm just trying to find out if this is a practice the jw teaches.

  i was taken advantage of by a guy claiming to be a jw preacher.

  he took me to his house supposedly so i could give his daughter piano lessons, and then he basically forced himself on me while telling me he was in love with me and wanted to marry me.

  next time a jw says that to me, i will ask him to read the following from "what does the bible really teach":.

  watchtower itself uses this illustration.

  so why is it that they throw apostates out of the congregation?.

  Satan the first Apostate, "in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil". What happen when our eyes were opened, a lot of BS......We have a lot in common with MR Satan.

  been reading this site for awhile now.

  i have had a long and often tragic life as a jw.

  my story is so long because i'm pretty old :) i feel sad i've been locked in fear and guilt for my entire life.

  2:12- "i do not permit a woman to teach, or to exercise authority over a man, but to be in silence".

  or verse 11- "let a woman learn in silence with full submissiveness.".

  Householder: Open the door. Jesus you are back, Is this the end of days?

  Jesus: Not yet, I need to get more hours in the door work, the preaching work hasn't reach everyone, maybe in the next generation...

  Householder: WTH , why are you knocking on doors?

  Jesus: The GB told me we don't care who you say you are, they told me to grab a cart or knock on some doors you have been demoted. Man, things have changed since I been away..

  Is it OK for JW employees to sell lottery tickets?

  i do remember reading an article that it is not ok for jw to sell cigarettes at gas stations, etc... i was wondering what about lottery tickets?

  they do sell lottery tickets at few restaurants around my home.

  if jw works there and rats me out to the elders, i would not give a damn about it but i still prefer not to hear from the elders about it..

  Letter to the branch: Brothers I'am DF's and I have two months to live. I would like to leave my assets to the WT organization, a small fortune. Since I'am not in good standing can I be reinstated before I die or will you accept my large offering form a DF's person?...... Letter from the GB: MY Brother!!!!!

  How long did people like Methuselah really live?

  i was working today and my brain was working in circles like it often does and i started wondering about what i was always told about people like methuselah in bible times, and their incredibly claims of longevity.

  i've tried researching things but have a hard time getting through all of the bible thumpers to some real evidence, and figured that some here may be more informed or have done the research previously.

  so, did people really live longer way back when?

  Noah was 600 when the flood happened, Methuselah was 600 + 369=969. So he died around the time of the flood or he treaded water for a few days. A stupid story I must say, and I believed these stories..

  jws are scattered across the globe.

  a few million people left, pretty isolated from each other.. telephone lines and power goes down since the people who supported the infrastructure are dead.

  communication across town, state, country, etc is cut off.

  cookiemaster: You would need a boat load of brothers from Eastern Europe to find away to come across the Ocean to the USA in order to aid the brothers, if not they will starve. Most of the brothers live in the city and they have no idea how to survive on their own, milk a cow, Please.. They can clean the hell out of a house but when it comes to feeding their family, where is the nearest super market...

  So no JW should enter the corner liquor store, well i guess it's ok booze is just fine among JW's.
